# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 340 g penne pasta
02 - 450 g shrimp, peeled and deveined
03 - 1 tablespoon jerk seasoning (adjust to taste)
04 - 1 tablespoon butter
05 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
06 - 1 small onion, chopped
07 - 3 garlic cloves, minced
08 - 1 red bell pepper, sliced
09 - 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced

→ Sauce and Garnish

10 - 240 ml heavy cream
11 - 120 ml chicken broth or vegetable broth
12 - 50 g Parmesan cheese, grated
13 - 2 green onions, chopped
14 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
15 - Juice of 1 lime
16 - Salt and black pepper, to taste

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Boil the penne in a large pot of salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve 120 ml of the pasta water. Set the pasta aside.
02 - Toss the shrimp with jerk seasoning. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter and add olive oil. Sauté the shrimp for approximately 2 minutes per side, or until opaque and pink. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
03 - In the same skillet, cook the chopped onion and minced garlic for 1–2 minutes, stirring until fragrant. Add the red and yellow bell peppers. Sauté for an additional 3–4 minutes until slightly softened.
04 - Pour in the heavy cream and chicken or vegetable broth, stirring to combine. Simmer for a few minutes. Add grated Parmesan cheese and mix until fully melted and the sauce thickens.
05 - Return the cooked penne to the skillet. Toss gently to coat with the creamy sauce. If the mixture seems dry, gradually add some reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
06 - Return the sautéed shrimp to the pan with the pasta. Add green onions and a squeeze of fresh lime juice, stirring well to combine. Taste and adjust with salt and pepper as needed.
07 - Garnish with chopped parsley and additional Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately while hot.

# Additional Notes:

01 - For a milder dish, reduce the amount of jerk seasoning, or use a homemade version to control spice levels.
