# How to Make It:

01 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 4 to 5 minutes. Remove sausage and set aside.
02 - Add onion, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, and celery to the same skillet. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes until vegetables soften.
03 - Stir in minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
04 - Add rinsed rice to the pan and stir for 1 minute to lightly toast.
05 - Add diced tomatoes, chicken broth, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, thyme, oregano, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if using. Stir until evenly mixed.
06 - Return browned sausage to skillet. Bring contents to a gentle simmer.
07 - Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for 18 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until rice is tender and liquid has absorbed.
08 - Remove pan from heat and keep covered for 5 minutes. Fluff rice with a fork.
