A creamy, airy dalgona coffee topping floats over milk for a smooth, café-inspired delight.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Coffee Mixture

01 - 2 tablespoons instant coffee granules
02 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
03 - 2 tablespoons hot water

→ To Serve

04 - 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
05 - Ice cubes (optional)

# How to Make It:

01 - In a medium mixing bowl, blend the instant coffee, granulated sugar, and hot water until uniform.
02 - Whisk vigorously using a hand whisk, electric mixer, or milk frother until the blend thickens, pale in color, and forms stiff peaks, approximately 2 to 4 minutes.
03 - Fill two glasses with milk and add ice cubes if desired.
04 - Spoon the whipped coffee mixture evenly over the milk in each glass.
05 - Serve immediately. Stir whipped coffee into milk prior to drinking to blend flavors.

# Additional Tips::

01 -
  • It looks fancy enough to impress someone, but honestly it's the easiest impressive drink you can make.
  • The whipped texture is addictive—that moment when it hits the milk and transforms your whole cup.
  • It works hot or cold, with any milk you have, making it endlessly adaptable to what's in your fridge.
02 -
  • Don't skimp on the whisking time; lazy whisking gives you loose coffee soup instead of that glorious cloud—commit to it for at least two minutes.
  • The whipped coffee deflates over time, so make it when you're ready to drink it or within a few minutes of serving.
03 -
  • Measure your instant coffee by weight if you can; it's more reliable than scooping, which can compress the granules differently each time.
  • If your whipped coffee looks grainy or won't hold peaks, the water temperature matters—make sure it's actually hot, not just warm.
