Strawberry Pineapple Daiquiri (Print Version)

A cool blend of strawberry and pineapple, expertly mixed and frozen for a refreshing summer treat.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Fruit

01 - 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries, hulled
02 - 1 cup fresh or frozen pineapple chunks

→ Liquids

03 - 1 cup white rum
04 - 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (approximately 4 limes)
05 - 1/2 cup simple syrup
06 - 1/2 cup water

→ Optional

07 - 1 tablespoon agave syrup or honey for additional sweetness

# How to Make It:

01 - Combine strawberries, pineapple, white rum, lime juice, simple syrup, and water in a blender. Process until completely smooth. Taste mixture and incorporate additional sweetener as desired.
02 - Distribute blended mixture evenly into 6 resealable freezer-safe pouches or sturdy zip-top bags, filling each approximately two-thirds full. Seal tightly while pressing out excess air.
03 - Arrange filled pouches flat in freezer and freeze for minimum 6 hours until completely solid.
04 - Remove pouch from freezer. Gently knead or run under warm water briefly to soften. Pour into glass or serve directly from pouch with straw.

# Additional Tips::

01 -
  • Make them ahead and forget about mixing drinks all afternoon while you actually enjoy your guests.
  • The tropical fruit flavor tastes like vacation without the plane ticket or the airport chaos.
  • No watching ice melt or diluting your drink—these stay perfectly frozen and ready.
02 -
  • Don't skip pressing the air out of those pouches—oxygen is the enemy of color and flavor, and you'll notice the difference after a week in the freezer.
  • Fresh lime juice makes such a dramatic difference that I learned to keep a bag of limes around just for this, because bottled versions taste like disappointment.
03 -
  • Freeze the pouches on a flat baking sheet first, then stack them once solid—they freeze faster and don't end up weirdly shaped and hard to pour from.
  • If a pouch splits in the freezer, don't panic—pour it into a glass and add a scoop of ice cream for an instant frozen cocktail float.
