10 - Salt and pepper, to taste
# How to Make It:
01 - In a small bowl, combine cream cheese, chives, and mayonnaise if using. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
02 - Use star-shaped cookie cutters in three sizes to cut out one large, one medium, and one small star from each bread slice.
03 - Spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture onto each bread star.
04 - Sprinkle diced red bell pepper on one-third of the stars and diced cucumber on another third to add color and texture.
05 - Arrange the stars in stacks from largest to smallest, alternating bread types for visual contrast.
06 - Insert a skewer or toothpick through the center of each stack to hold layers together.
07 - Place a cherry tomato or star-shaped yellow bell pepper piece on top of each stack as a tree topper.
08 - Sprinkle chopped parsley around the sandwiches to resemble pine needles.
09 - Arrange the sandwiches on a platter and serve immediately.
