Golden mushrooms baked with zesty ranch seasoning for a crispy, flavorful snack packed with fresh herbs and cheese.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Mushrooms

01 - 1 lb button or cremini mushrooms, cleaned and quartered

→ Coating

02 - ½ cup all-purpose flour
03 - 2 large eggs, beaten
04 - 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
05 - ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

→ Ranch Seasoning

06 - 1 tsp dried dill
07 - 1 tsp dried parsley
08 - 1 tsp dried chives
09 - ½ tsp garlic powder
10 - ½ tsp onion powder
11 - ½ tsp salt
12 - ¼ tsp ground black pepper

→ Oil

13 - Cooking spray or 2 tbsp olive oil

# How to Make It:

01 - Heat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone mat.
02 - In a small bowl, stir together dried dill, parsley, chives, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
03 - Arrange three bowls separately with flour, beaten eggs, and a mix of panko, Parmesan, and half the ranch seasoning.
04 - Toss mushrooms in flour, remove excess. Dip each into egg, then coat evenly with panko mixture.
05 - Place mushrooms in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Apply cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil evenly.
06 - Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping mushrooms halfway through, until golden and crisp.
07 - Sprinkle remaining ranch seasoning over hot mushrooms before serving.

# Additional Tips::

01 -
  • Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside without a single drop of frying oil
  • That ranch seasoning does all the work so you taste like you tried way harder than you did
  • Uses ingredients you probably already have and comes together faster than ordering takeout
02 -
  • Don't crowd the pan or they'll steam instead of crisp, learned that the hard way my first try
  • Use enough oil or spray, the first batch I made was sad and pale because I was being stingy
  • Flip them gently with a spatula, not tongs, or you'll knock off all that beautiful coating
03 -
  • Let the mushrooms come to room temperature before breading so the coating sticks better and bakes more evenly
  • Use one hand for dry ingredients and one for wet so you don't end up with cement fingers
  • Make a double batch of the ranch seasoning and keep it in a jar, it's good on popcorn, roasted vegetables, and basically everything
