# What You’ll Need:

01 - 4 slices whole wheat or low-calorie bread

→ Batter

02 - 4 large egg whites
03 - 1/3 cup vanilla or unflavored protein powder
04 - 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
05 - 1 tsp ground cinnamon
06 - 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
07 - Pinch of salt

→ For Cooking

08 - Nonstick cooking spray or 1 tsp light olive oil

→ Toppings (optional)

09 - Fresh berries
10 - Sugar-free syrup or a drizzle of honey
11 - Greek yogurt

# How to Make It:

01 - In a shallow bowl, whisk together egg whites, protein powder, almond milk, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and slightly frothy.
02 - Preheat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly coat with cooking spray or oil.
03 - Dip each slice of bread into the egg white mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.
04 - Place the soaked bread slices onto the preheated skillet. Cook for 3–4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
05 - Serve warm, topped with berries, sugar-free syrup, or a dollop of Greek yogurt as desired.

# Additional Tips::

01 -
  • Your breakfast will taste decadent, but secretly fuels your morning with protein and almost no guilt.
  • The quick cleanup and minimal prep won me over the first time I made it before a busy day.
02 -
  • If you soak the bread too long, it gets sadly soggy and tears apart before reaching the pan.
  • Using a protein powder you actually like—flavor and mixability—makes a dramatic difference in both taste and texture.
03 -
  • If your protein powder clumps, sift it into the bowl for a consistently smooth batter.
  • Smearing a scant layer of Greek yogurt on top before adding berries makes each bite creamy and satisfying.
