Grilled Pineapple Slices (Print Version)

Sweet, caramelized pineapple slices with grill marks make a perfect summer side dish or dessert with minimal preparation.

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and sliced into 1/2-inch rings
02 - 2 tbsp brown sugar (optional, for extra caramelization)
03 - 1 tbsp melted coconut oil or vegetable oil
04 - 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

→ Optional Garnishes

05 - Lime wedges
06 - Fresh mint leaves
07 - Vanilla ice cream or coconut ice cream (for dessert)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon (if using). Brush pineapple slices lightly with melted oil. Sprinkle each side with a little of the brown sugar mixture for extra caramelization.
02 - Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates. Grill pineapple slices for 3–4 minutes per side, until grill marks appear and pineapple is tender and slightly caramelized.
03 - Serve warm as a side dish, or with a scoop of ice cream and a squeeze of lime for a simple dessert.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Pineapple can also be grilled without any sugar for a lighter, natural sweetness.
02 - Add a pinch of chili powder for a sweet-spicy twist.
03 - Great alongside grilled chicken, pork, or seafood.
