Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon, skin-side down if using skin-on fillets, and sear for 4–5 minutes without moving, until golden and crisp.

Flip the salmon and cook for another 2–3 minutes until just cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add the butter and let it melt, then add the minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Stir in lemon juice and parsley.

Spoon the garlic butter sauce over the cooked salmon fillets. Garnish with extra parsley and lemon slices. Serve immediately.
