Sweet, tangy BBQ chicken pieces with fluffy rice—quick, satisfying, and perfect for a fast dinner.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Chicken

01 - 450 g boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into 2.5 cm pieces
02 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
03 - 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
04 - 1 tablespoon olive oil

→ Sauce

05 - 120 ml barbecue sauce
06 - 2 tablespoons honey
07 - 2 tablespoons ketchup
08 - 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
09 - 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)

→ Rice

10 - 200 g long-grain white rice
11 - 480 ml water
12 - 1/2 teaspoon salt

→ Garnish (optional)

13 - 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or green onions

# How to Make It:

01 - Rinse the rice under cold water. In a medium saucepan, combine the rice, water, and salt. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork.
02 - While the rice is cooking, season the chicken pieces evenly with salt and ground black pepper.
03 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook, stirring occasionally, until the pieces are browned and fully cooked, about 6–8 minutes.
04 - In a small bowl, whisk together barbecue sauce, honey, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, and smoked paprika until smooth.
05 - Pour the prepared sauce over the cooked chicken in the skillet. Stir gently to coat all pieces and simmer for 2–3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and become glossy.
06 - Serve the honey BBQ chicken over the cooked rice. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or green onions, if desired.
