Croissant Waffles Flaky Buttery (Print Version)

Buttery croissant dough pressed into crisp waffles, with sweet or savory toppings for a fusion snack.

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 1 can refrigerated butter croissant dough (6 triangles)

→ Finish

02 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, for coating

→ Optional toppings

03 - Nutella, fresh berries, or ice cream, for serving (optional)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat the waffle maker to medium-high heat.
02 - Unroll the croissant dough and separate into 6 triangles. Loosely roll or leave flat as preferred. Lightly sprinkle all sides of each piece with sugar.
03 - Place sugared dough triangles in the heated waffle iron. Close, press gently, and cook for 6 to 8 minutes until croffles are deeply golden and crisp.
04 - Transfer croffles to a cooling rack. Serve warm dusted with icing sugar or topped with spreads and berries as desired.

# Additional Notes:

01 - For a savory version, omit the sugar and add ham and cheese after cooking.
02 - Using homemade croissant dough enhances flavor but increases preparation time.
