→ For Serving

09 - Maple syrup (optional)
10 - Powdered sugar (optional)
11 - Fresh berries (optional)
12 - Whipped cream (optional)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - In a shallow dish or mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, sugar (if using), and salt until smooth.
02 - Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a bit of butter or oil to coat the surface.
03 - Dip each slice of bread into the custard mixture, soaking briefly on both sides.
04 - Place soaked bread onto the hot skillet. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
05 - Repeat with remaining slices, adding more butter or oil to the skillet as needed.
06 - Serve warm with your favorite toppings.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Day-old or slightly stale bread works best to absorb the custard without falling apart.
02 - For a dairy-free version, use almond or oat milk and plant-based butter.
03 - Add a splash of orange zest or nutmeg to the custard for a unique twist.
