01 -
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 -
Peel the bananas and cut them into 1 cm thick rounds. Arrange the slices evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
03 -
If desired, top each banana slice with approximately ½ teaspoon of creamy peanut butter.
04 -
Place the baking sheet in the freezer for 30 minutes until the banana slices are firm.
05 -
Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl using 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until completely smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler to melt.
06 -
Remove banana slices from the freezer. Using a fork or toothpick, dip each slice into the melted chocolate to completely coat. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
07 -
Return each chocolate-coated banana bite to the baking sheet. Immediately sprinkle with crushed nuts, shredded coconut, or sprinkles as desired, before chocolate sets.
08 -
Freeze the banana bites for at least 1½ hours, or until completely firm.
09 -
Serve banana bites straight from the freezer. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to two weeks.
