Bacon Jalapeno Cheese Poppers (Print Version)

Jalapeños stuffed with cheese and wrapped in smoky bacon for a crisp, spicy, crowd-pleasing finger food.

# Ingredients:

→ Peppers & Filling

01 - 10 large jalapeños, halved and seeded
02 - 150 g cream cheese, softened
03 - 120 g shredded cheddar cheese

→ Wrap

04 - 10 slices thin bacon, halved lengthwise
05 - Pinch garlic powder
06 - Pinch ground black pepper

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat the oven to 200°C. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, and black pepper until evenly combined.
02 - Using a small spoon, fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, smoothing the top for even filling.
03 - Wrap each stuffed jalapeño half with one halved bacon strip, tucking the ends securely underneath.
04 - Place the wrapped jalapeños onto a rack set over a baking sheet. Bake for 22 to 25 minutes, or until the bacon is crisp and the filling is bubbling.
05 - Remove from oven and let the poppers rest for 5 minutes before serving.

# Additional Notes:

01 - For a sweet and spicy twist, brush the bacon with maple syrup during the final 5 minutes of baking.
02 - For an air fryer alternative, cook at 190°C for 12 to 14 minutes.
03 - Wear gloves when handling hot peppers to avoid skin irritation.
