Homemade Air-Fryer Tortilla Chips (Print Version)

Golden tortilla wedges air-fried to crisp perfection with savory seasonings for a quick snack.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Tortillas

01 - 6 small corn tortillas

→ Oil & Seasonings

02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
03 - ½ teaspoon sea salt
04 - ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
05 - ¼ teaspoon ground cumin (optional)

# How to Make It:

01 - Heat air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 2 minutes.
02 - Stack tortillas and slice each into 6 triangular wedges.
03 - Place wedges in a large bowl, drizzle with oil, sprinkle with salt, paprika, and cumin; toss until evenly coated.
04 - Spread the tortilla wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Work in batches to prevent overcrowding.
05 - Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until chips are crisp and light golden.
06 - Transfer chips to a wire rack or paper towel to cool; they will crisp further as they cool.
07 - Enjoy with salsa, guacamole, or preferred dip.

# Additional Tips::

01 -
  • You get that satisfying crunch without heating up a pot of oil or dealing with splatters all over the stove.
  • The chips taste fresher than anything from a bag, and you control exactly how much salt goes on them.
  • It takes less time than running to the store, and you probably already have tortillas sitting in your fridge.
02 -
  • Dont skip the shake halfway through, or youll end up with some chips that are pale and others that are too dark.
  • If you pile them too high in the basket, the ones on the bottom stay soft and chewy, which is fine for some people but not what youre going for here.
03 -
  • If your tortillas are really fresh and pliable, let them sit out for an hour before cutting so they crisp up faster in the air fryer.
  • For perfectly even seasoning, put the oil and spices in a spray bottle and mist the wedges lightly before tossing.
